Our client is global electronic component manufacturing company in Thailand. The company is looking for a suitable candidate for the position of Procurement Specialist to join their team. Job Description: Develop and execute sourcing strategies for spare parts, equipment, and other indirect materials in line with business requirements, quality standards, cost targets, and supply continuity objectives. Manage the end-to-end procurement process, including supplier identification, RFQ/RFP activities, commercial evaluation, negotiation, supplier selection, and onboarding. Source and manage both local and international suppliers, ensuring competitiveness, capability, quality, delivery performance, and compliance with company requirements. Establish and maintain alternative sourcing options and contingency plans to minimise supply risks and ensure business continuity. Identify opportunities to localise the sourcing of spare parts and equipment, and support supplier development initiatives, including potential sourcing transitions from Europe or Singapore to China and other competitive markets. Collaborate with Engineering, Maintenance, Operations, and other relevant functions to understand technical requirements and identify suitable suppliers and cost-effective procurement solutions. Drive cost improvement initiatives through Clean Cost Optimisation (CCO), Total Cost Analysis, benchmarking, and commercial negotiations, ensuring pricing is appropriately aligned with relevant commodity indicators such as LME. Monitor market trends, supplier capacity, material costs, and commodity price movements to support strategic sourcing decisions and maintain cost competitiveness. Analyse procurement data, supplier performance, and spending patterns to identify cost-saving opportunities and improve purchasing effectiveness. Support supplier performance management and continuous improvement initiatives to ensure quality, cost, delivery, and service expectations are consistently achieved. Maintain accurate procurement documentation, supplier information, sourcing records, and commercial data in accordance with company policies and procedures. Support procurement projects, process improvement initiatives, and other strategic activities as assigned. Qualifications: Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, Industrial Management, Engineering, or a related field. Minimum 5–10 years of experience in Strategic Sourcing, Procurement, Purchasing, or Supply Chain Management, preferably within manufacturing, engineering, equipment, or industrial environments. Proven experience in sourcing and supplier management for spare parts, equipment, MRO, or other manufacturing-related categories. Strong understanding of supplier qualification, strategic sourcing processes, supplier development, localisation, and global procurement practices. Good knowledge of Clean Cost Optimisation (CCO), Total Cost Analysis, cost breakdown analysis, and cost benchmarking. Experience managing both local and international suppliers, with a proven track record in commercial negotiations. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to use procurement and market data to support sourcing decisions. Proficient in digital tools, with an interest in leveraging AI solutions to improve procurement productivity, analysis, and operational efficiency. Strong negotiation, project management, communication, and stakeholder management skills. Proactive, commercially minded, and results-oriented, with the ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities effectively. Ability to perform effectively in a fast-paced environment and work well under pressure. Good command of English, both written and spoken.
