Location: Hong Kong / Kwun Tong Nature: Renewable Contract (1 Year) Job Title: Technical Services Manager (Storage, Backup, Unix, Linux & Database Infrastructure) (Banking) Responsibilities • Manage the daily operations, administration, monitoring, and maintenance of enterprise storage, backup, Unix, Linux, and database platforms. • Ensure successful execution of backup and recovery processes while supporting timely data restoration requests. • Administer and optimize enterprise infrastructure environments to maintain high availability, performance, and security. • Perform system troubleshooting, incident resolution, root cause analysis, and preventive maintenance activities. • Lead or support system upgrades, security patch implementation, vulnerability remediation, and infrastructure enhancements. • Participate in infrastructure projects, including platform refreshes, cloud migration initiatives, and new technology deployments. • Provide advanced technical support and consultation to application teams, operations teams, and other internal stakeholders. • Execute disaster recovery exercises, business continuity tests, and operational readiness assessments. • Maintain accurate system documentation, operational procedures, and technical standards. • Coordinate with vendors and internal teams to ensure reliable service delivery and infrastructure support. Requirements • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related discipline. • At least 1-5 years of experience in infrastructure support, system administration, storage, backup, Unix, Linux, or database administration within an enterprise environment. • Strong hands-on experience with enterprise storage platforms, backup solutions, and recovery technologies. • Solid knowledge of SAN, NAS, storage architecture, backup strategies, and disaster recovery concepts. • Good experience administering Unix and Linux operating systems in mission-critical environments. • Familiarity with relational database platforms, performance tuning, backup management, and system health monitoring. • Knowledge of shell scripting, automation, and infrastructure administration best practices. • Strong understanding of IT security controls, risk management principles, and regulatory compliance requirements. • Proven troubleshooting, analytical, and problem-solving capabilities. • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to work effectively in a collaborative environment. • Self-motivated, proactive, and willing to support critical banking systems, including occasional on-call duties. • Relevant professional certifications in storage, backup, Linux, Unix, database, cloud, or infrastructure technologies will be an advantage.
