Group Accounting Manager , Freight Forwarder

About the role We are seeking a Group Accounting Manager for Freight Forwarder to join our finance team at our Kwun Tong office. This is a full-time position based in Kwun Tong, Kwun Tong District . In this strategic role, you will oversee accounting operations across our freight forwarding business, ensuring financial accuracy, compliance and operational efficiency. You will provide essential financial leadership and support to the group, contributing directly to the organisation's financial health and strategic decision-making processes. Key responsibilities Manage and oversee accounting functions for the freight forwarding operations, including accounts payable, accounts receivable and general ledger management Ensure accurate and timely preparation of financial statements and management reports for the freight forwarder business unit Monitor cash flow and working capital management specific to freight forwarding operations Supervise and mentor accounting staff within the freight forwarding division Reconcile accounts and investigate discrepancies, ensuring financial accuracy and integrity Liaise with external auditors and prepare documentation for audit requirements Maintain compliance with accounting standards, regulatory requirements and company policies Analyse financial data and provide insights to support management decision-making and business planning Implement and improve accounting procedures and internal controls for the freight forwarding business Coordinate with other departments to ensure seamless financial operations and cost management What we're looking for Professional accounting qualification (ACCA, HKICPA or equivalent recognised body) Minimum 5-7 years' experience in accounting or finance roles, with preferred experience in freight forwarding, shipping or logistics industry Strong knowledge of accounting principles, financial reporting standards and regulatory compliance Proficiency with accounting software systems and Microsoft Excel at an advanced level Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail Strong communication skills and ability to work effectively with internal and external stakeholders Leadership capability to manage and develop accounting team members Familiarity with freight forwarding operations and industry-specific accounting practices is highly desirable Knowledge of Hong Kong tax regulations and financial reporting requirements Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment What we offer At Triple Eagle Container Line Ltd, we value our employees and provide competitive remuneration packages and benefits designed to support your professional growth and wellbeing.
