Senior Executive, Investment Operations - Finance (Contract)

Job Summary Responsible for treasury functions and investment accounting, as well as to ensure timely reporting of investment transactions for local statutory and head office reporting Key Responsibilities Support investment operations and treasury activities to ensure all investment transactions are processed, reconciled, and accounted for accurately and within established timelines. Manage the end-to-end operational lifecycle of mutual fund investments, including transaction processing, settlements, reconciliations, and reporting. Perform valuation, accounting, and financial reporting for investment-linked funds, ensuring compliance with internal policies, accounting standards, and regulatory requirements. Execute month-end and year-end closing activities for investment portfolios, including journal postings, reconciliations, and preparation of management and regulatory reports. Prepare and submit investment-related reports and analyses, while serving as a key point of contact for inquiries from internal stakeholders, fund managers, custodians, auditors, and regulatory bodies. Support the preparation of statutory and audited financial statements by coordinating with external auditors and providing timely and accurate documentation. Collaborate with cross-functional teams including Finance, Investment, Risk, Compliance, and external service providers to ensure smooth execution of investment operations. Identify opportunities for process enhancement, operational efficiency, and risk mitigation through automation, digitalization, and continuous improvement initiatives. To undertake any other duties and responsibilities requested by the Management as and when required. Key Requirements Candidate possesses bachelor’s degree/Professional Degree in Finance/Accountancy related discipline. 2-4 years of experience in investment operations, fund accounting or treasury operations. Proficient in Microsoft Excel; experience with data analytics, automation tools, Power BI, Power Automate, Alteryx, or similar solutions is an advantage. Familiar with AI tools such as ChatGPT for tasks simplification. Good team player, self-motivated, proactive, and committed to continuous improvement and operational excellence.
