Agricultural Contractor – Tractor Operator / Hay, Seeding, Spreading & Spraying Company: CS Engineering and Agriculture Location: Kilmore, Victoria through to Locksley, Romsey, Whittlesea, Flowerdale and surrounding areas. Job Type: Full-time Hours: Variable – minimum 40 hours per week (seasonal peaks expected) Work Type: Permanent / Ongoing About the Role CS Engineering and Agriculture is seeking a reliable and experienced tractor operator / agricultural contractor to join the team, based out of Kilmore. This is a hands-on role focused on: Tractor work Hay contracting (mowing, raking, baling) Seeding Fertiliser and lime spreading Boom and/or pasture spraying Hours will vary with the season and workload, with a minimum of 40 hours per week. Expect longer days during peak periods (hay season, sowing, etc.). Key Responsibilities Operate tractors and associated agricultural machinery safely and efficiently Carry out hay contracting work (mowing, conditioning, raking, baling) Perform seeding, fertiliser/lime spreading and spraying operations Conduct daily pre-start checks, basic maintenance and housekeeping of machinery Work independently or as part of a small team on client properties Maintain accurate records of work completed and any issues Follow all safety, chemical and environmental requirements Skills & Experience Required Previous experience in agricultural contracting or farm machinery operation (tractor, hay equipment, seeders, spreaders, sprayers) Competent and confident tractor operator Understanding of safe chemical handling and spray application practices (ChemCert or equivalent preferred) Ability to work long hours when required and adapt to changing weather and seasonal demands Reliable, practical, and able to work with minimal supervision Current driver’s licence (HR preferred but not essential) Own transport essential What We Offer Steady full-time work with a minimum 40 hours per week Competitive hourly rate based on experience Variety of work across different properties and machinery Opportunity to grow with a busy engineering and agriculture business
