ABOUT THE ROLE As part of the Corporate Finance team, you will support the execution of a wide range of corporate finance transactions while ensuring compliance with market practices and regulatory requirements. You will be involved in conducting due diligence reviews, providing financial and strategic advice to clients, and reviewing transaction-related documents, including announcements, circulars, submissions, and offering documents. The role also requires coordinating with various professional advisers, liaising with regulators on transaction submissions, and proactively resolving issues that arise throughout the transaction process. In addition, you will oversee and monitor the progress of junior team members, contributing to the successful and timely delivery of corporate finance mandates. JOB RESPONSIBILITIES Execute and manage corporate finance transactions in compliance with regulatory requirements, internal policies, and market best practices. Provide financial and strategic advisory services to clients across a range of corporate finance engagements. Conduct due diligence reviews and perform financial analysis to support transaction execution. Prepare, review, and oversee transaction-related documentation, including announcements, circulars, offering documents, and regulatory submissions. Coordinate with regulators, legal advisers, auditors, valuers, and other professional parties to facilitate the successful completion of transactions. Build and maintain strong client relationships, ensuring high-quality deliverables and timely execution of assignments. Contribute to the achievement of departmental and team financial objectives, including revenue growth, profitability, and cost-efficiency targets. Ensure adherence to all regulatory, statutory, and internal governance requirements while maintaining a strong compliance and risk management culture. Proactively identify and resolve transaction-related issues, providing practical solutions with minimal supervision. Support business development initiatives and contribute to the origination and execution of new mandates. Lead, develop, and mentor junior team members through coaching, performance management, and career development initiatives. Monitor staff performance, development plans, engagement levels, and disciplinary matters to foster a high-performing and motivated team. Demonstrate a commitment to continuous professional development by actively pursuing learning and development opportunities to enhance technical and leadership capabilities. JOB REQUIREMENTS Licensed Corporate Finance Representative with a valid Capital Markets Services Representative's License (CMSRL). Minimu m 3 years of experience as a CMSRL hold er within the corporate finance industry. Bachelor's Degree and/or professional qualification i n Accounting, Finance, Business Studies , or other relevant disciplines from a recognized institution. Candidates with qualifications i n L aw or other relevant fields are also encouraged to apply. Minimu m 4 years of relevant working experien ce in corporate advisory, corporate finance, accounting, auditing, investment banking, or related financial services functions. Demonstrated experience in executing and advising o n mergers and acquisitions (M&A), initial public offerings (IPOs), securities offerings, corporate restructuring, and other corporate finance transactions. At leas t 2 years of supervisory or team leadership experien ce, with a proven track record in managing, coaching, and developing team members. Strong knowledge of the regulatory framework governing the Malaysian capital market, including rules, regulations, and guidelines issued by th e Securities Commission Malaysia (SC), Bursa Malaysia Securities Berhad, Bank Negara Malaysia (BNM), Ministry of Investment, Trade and Industry (MIT I), and other relevant authorities. Strong analytical, financial modelling, due diligence, and problem-solving capabilities. Excellent stakeholder management, communication, and relationship-building skills, with the ability to engage effectively with clients, regulators, and professional advisers. Ability to manage multiple transactions simultaneously, work under tight timelines, and deliver high-quality outcomes in a dynamic environment.
