Fruit Farm Worker – Full-Time Position Location: Donnybrook, WA Salary: $71,000 – $83,000 per annum plus superannuation Job Type: Full-time, Permanent On behalf of Athertons Orchard Pty Ltd, we are seeking a dedicated and reliable Fruit Farm Worker to join our team at our farming operation located in Donnybrook, Western Australia . This is a full-time position offering stability, competitive remuneration, and the opportunity to work in a vital sector of Australia’s agriculture industry. Key Responsibilities: Monitors and assesses the health and condition of fruit crops. Manages irrigation systems and water supplies to support fruit crop growth. Carries out tasks related to soil preparation, crop care, and maintenance, including planting, thinning, weeding, hoeing, and pruning fruit trees. Installs support structures like trellises, as well as protective coverings such as greenhouses, netting, and fencing. Cleans, maintains, and operates farm infrastructure and equipment, including sheds, fences, and machinery. May apply pesticides to trees, vines, and other crops to manage weeds, pests, fungi, and diseases. Pruning and thinning apples Checking cool room temperatures and controlled atmosphere levels Co2 and O2 Help with loading cool rooms and trucks (Forklift experience) Demonstrating to new staff, the jobs required. About You: To be considered for this role, you should have: At least 1 year of relevant full-time experience working in fruit farming Practical knowledge of farm machinery and equipment operation A sound understanding of fruit production and maintenance practices The ability to work independently in remote or rural settings Good physical fitness and a commitment to safe work practices A current driver’s licence is highly desirable What We Offer: Competitive salary ranging from $71,000 to $83,000 per year , plus super A full-time, permanent role with long-term career potential Supportive team environment with hands-on training The opportunity to contribute to a key part of the Australian agriculture industry
