Job Summary Design, develop, test, and maintain embedded firmware for microcontroller- and SoC-based products. Work cross-functionally with hardware, systems, QA, and product teams to deliver reliable, efficient firmware that meets product requirements and timelines. Key responsibilities - Architect, implement, and debug firmware (C/C++, RTOS, bare-metal) for embedded systems. - Integrate and validate device drivers (GPIO, UART, SPI, I2C, PWM, ADC, timers, USB, Ethernet, BLE/Wi‑Fi). - Develop and maintain board bring-up, bootloaders (e.g., U-Boot), and BSPs. - Optimize firmware for performance, power consumption, memory footprint, and real-time behavior. - Write and maintain unit/integration tests, automated test benches, and CI pipelines for firmware. - Perform hardware debugging using oscilloscopes, logic analyzers, JTAG/SWD, and in-circuit debuggers. - Troubleshoot field issues, perform root-cause analysis, and deliver firmware patches/releases. - Maintain clear technical documentation: specifications, design notes, release notes, and test plans. - Participate in design reviews, project planning, and sprint activities. Required qualifications - Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or related field (or equivalent experience). - 3+ years of professional experience in embedded firmware development. - Strong C programming skills; C++ and assembly experience a plus. - Experience with microcontrollers/MPUs (ARM Cortex-M/A, ESP, TI, NXP, ST, Microchip, etc.). - Familiarity with RTOSes (FreeRTOS, Zephyr, ThreadX, etc.) and bare-metal firmware. - Proficiency with hardware interfaces and protocols: SPI, I2C, UART, CAN, USB, Ethernet, BLE, Wi‑Fi. - Experience with debugging tools: JTAG/SWD, GDB, oscilloscopes, logic analyzers. - Version control (Git) and experience with build systems/toolchains (GCC, Clang, Make, CMake). - Strong problem-solving, communication, and teamwork skills.
