The Opportunity We’re looking for an Articled / Cadet Surveyor to join our team. You’ll gain hands-on experience working alongside Licensed Surveyors and our expert drafting team, led by Peter Paterson , a senior Cartographer with 25+ years’ experience. This role offers a clear career pathway: progress from Qualified Surveyor → Articled Surveyor → Licensed Surveyor under the Land Surveyors Licensing Board of WA (LSLBWA) . This Role is Ideal For Someone Who: Is confident, communicative, and collaborative Wants to grow into a Licensed Surveyor and take on increasing responsibility Values precision, problem-solving, and continuous learning Thrives both independently and within a supportive, team-focused environment What You’ll Do Surveying Assist with cadastral and engineering surveys (land subdivision, boundary re-establishments, strata, control surveys) Use advanced surveying equipment, including Leica total stations and Topcon GNSS Process survey data and prepare plans using Liscad, AutoCAD, and industry software Research, verify, and compile survey data, ensuring compliance with Landgate, WAPC, and industry standards Data Management & Compliance Support the preparation, auditing, and certification of cadastral plans Maintain accurate survey records and contribute to improving office and field processes Ensure adherence to Occupational Health & Safety (OHS) standards Client & Team Collaboration Work alongside engineers, project managers, and clients Learn from senior surveyors and contribute to team projects Gain exposure to business growth and mentoring opportunities Skills & Experience Essential Degree or ongoing tertiary qualification in Surveying 1+ years’ experience in cadastral or engineering surveying Enrolled or eligible as an Articled Surveyor under LSLBWA Proficiency, or willingness to learn, surveying equipment and software Strong problem-solving, communication, and teamwork skills Commitment to accuracy, detail, and continuous learning Why ST Spatial?
