About EiQ EiQ is LRQA’s flagship supply chain intelligence platform and is entering a major growth phase as it evolves into a scalable, AI‑enabled data product. With ambitious growth targets and increasing adoption by global clients, EiQ is a core strategic asset within LRQA’s digital portfolio, powering client insight, transparency, and risk‑based decision‑making across complex supply chains. Role Purpose · The Senior BI Developer – EiQ Client Reporting is a senior technical role within the Analytics & Insight team, with a primary focus on the design, delivery, and ongoing evolution of client‑facing reporting within the EiQ platform. · This role is responsible for leading the development of high‑quality, scalable, and commercially viable Power BI reporting solutions that are embedded within EiQ and consumed directly by clients. The Senior BI Developer will act as a technical authority for EiQ reporting, balancing client needs with standardisation, performance, governance, and long‑term maintainability. · Working closely with EiQ product, engineering, customer success, and commercial stakeholders, the role plays a key part in ensuring EiQ reporting is trusted, adopted, and aligned to LRQA’s growth ambitions. Key Responsibilities EiQ Client Reporting Delivery · Lead the design and development of client‑facing Power BI reports and dashboards within EiQ, ensuring outputs are intuitive, performant, and aligned with defined client reporting offerings. · Translate complex supply chain, audit, and risk data into clear, decision‑ready client insights. · Apply a strong focus on data integrity, consistency, and accuracy, proactively challenging requirements and underlying data where necessary. Scalable & Standardised Reporting · Champion a standardised, scalable approach to EiQ client reporting, reducing unnecessary customisation and supporting efficient onboarding of new clients. · Design reusable datasets, data models, and reporting components that support multiple clients and use cases. · Contribute to the definition and evolution of EiQ’s client reporting catalogue, ensuring clarity on what is supported and how enhancements are prioritised. Stakeholder & Client Alignment · Act as a senior BI partner to EiQ product managers, customer success teams, and internal stakeholders to shape reporting roadmaps and priorities. · Support client conversations where required, helping translate reporting needs into technically and commercially viable solutions. · Incorporate client usage and feedback into iterative improvements, ensuring reporting delivers ongoing value. Technical Leadership & Governance · Provide hands‑on technical leadership across EiQ reporting, setting best practice for Power BI development, data modelling, performance optimisation, and security. · Ensure appropriate governance is applied across development lifecycles, including version control, release management, and controlled change processes. · Support and mentor other BI developers working on EiQ or adjacent client reporting initiatives. Continuous Improvement · Identify opportunities to improve reporting performance, resilience, and maintainability, including opportunities arising from wider EiQ and data platform evolution. · Contribute to the adoption of new Power BI capabilities and advanced analytics where they enhance client value. Technical Requirements: · Experience: At least 5 years of significant experience in BI development, with a focus on Microsoft Power BI. Strong ability to analyse data and implement BI solutions that directly impact business strategies and outcomes. · Communication: Excellent communication skills with proven ability to engage, influence, and provide critical insights to senior management and key stakeholders. · Collaboration: Experience working collaboratively with development teams, DevOps engineers, and other stakeholders to streamline Power BI development processes using Azure DevOps. · Expertise in Power BI: Proficiency in creating complex Power BI reports, dashboards, power query, DAX, data models, data integration from various data sources. · Data Modelling: Strong understanding of data modelling concepts including relationships, DAX calculations, and optimisation techniques. · Power BI Dataflows: Proficiency in creating and managing Power BI Dataflows to ingest, transform, and prepare data for analysis and reporting. · Data Visualisation: Ability to design visually appealing reports and dashboards, using initiative to design effective data visualisations to convey insights to stakeholders. · SQL Proficiency: Solid understanding of SQL for data manipulation, querying, and performance tuning. · Version Control: Familiarity with version control systems like Git for managing Power BI projects and collaboration. · Azure DevOps: Knowledge of using Azure DevOps Boards to manage workload. · Governance & Security: Understanding of implementing security best practices for Power BI, including role-based access control (RBAC). · Problem-Solving Skills: Ability to troubleshoot and resolve technical issues related to Power BI reports, data connections, and performance.
