Job Responsibilities: Operate and maintain production databases (MySQL, MongoDB, Redis, etc.) Perform daily tasks: backups, restores, upgrades, patching, and data migrations Implement indexes and optimize query performance Set up and monitor database health checks and alerting Manage Linux servers hosting the databases Set up and manage Alicloud and AWS database services (RDS, ElastiCache, EC2, etc.) Support High Availability and Disaster Recovery setups Review DDL and DML changes from application teams, perform impact analysis, and fine-tune queries before deployment Automate repetitive tasks using shell and Python scripts Contribute to building AI-powered automation for DBA workflows (e.g., LLM-assisted query analysis, incident triage, runbook generation, anomaly detection) Participate in architecture discussions and evaluate new database technologies Job Requirement : Candidates must possess at least a Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or equivalent At least 1 year hands-on experience as database administrator in production. Preferably candidates who are proficient in at least one of: MongoDB, MySQL, or Redis Proficient in writing and debugging SQL — DDL, DML, stored procedures, and functions Strong scripting experience in Unix/Shell Scripting and Python. Hands-on experience with Cloud Services Comfortable administering Linux servers Strong troubleshooting skills and solid documentation habits Curious about AI-assisted tooling (e.g., using AI for operations, working with LLM APIs, experimenting with MCP servers) Experience with ClickHouse, Aerospike, or other specialized databases is a plus Familiarity with monitoring tools (Prometheus, Grafana, etc.) is a plus Prefer candidates who can speak basic mandarin to effectively communicate with Mandarin-speaking clients.
