Electrician/Skilled Maintenance Worker

Our New Zealand site is based in Rangiriri West, near Huntly, with around 100 team members supporting export markets across Asia. Looking for a change of scenery? Maybe want a bit more variety in your work? We are looking for a dynamic, multi-tasking capable maintenance electrician to join our team in a fulltime, permanent role. Length of experience is not a barrier – we want someone that has a good attitude and will get stuck in to help the team either whether that be electrical work or general maintenance support. Hours are predominantly Monday to Friday, 40-45 per week. This role would also participate in the on call electrical roster for one week in every three weeks. At times when there is no electrical work to be done, you will assist the maintenance team with general maintenance to make sure our sheds keep running efficiently and our birds are kept well looked after. Key Responsibilites Carry out scheduled mechanical and electrical maintenance activities across plant, equipment, and production systems on Farm or Hatchery sites Ensure a rapid-response to breakdown to minimise business interruption Undertake preventive maintenance tasks to minimise breakdowns Ensure all electrical work complies with relevant regulations, standards, and organisational safety requirements Fault finding and repair of motors, pumps, chillers, fans, and their control circuits Annual testing of safety systems, e.g. generators, alarms, emergency lighting etc. Maintaining electrical compliance of onsite building and equipment Maintain accurate maintenance records, documentation, and compliance reporting including monitoring and keeping the maintenance tracking system up to date What’s in it for you: Competitive hourly rate A paid day off on your birthday Health Insurance after 3 months of service Life and trauma insurance from Day 1 Kiwisaver at 4% Be part of a great team that celebrates with regular BBQs! What we are looking for: Must be a NZ registered electrician with current EWRB practicing licence Factory or plant maintenance experience advantageous A full NZ driver's licence Be able to work unsupervised, or within a team Be able to work on an on-call roster A great attitude with a practical mindset Great people skills No birds, pigs or chickens at your property (due to biosecurity reasons) Please note: Given the high bio-security element of our working environment, there will be a requirement to have a minimum of 3 full showers each working day.
