AV Technician, Venue based

AV Media provides a full range of technical & production services for a wide range of clients in premium venues in Auckland, Wellington, Christchurch and Queenstown. Our business is growing and we're looking for new team members, who enjoy hands on learning. We have a position available in Queenstown for a venue based technician. When you work with AV Media you’ll benefit from: A varied working day The chance to be out and about, face to face with clients A friendly, family orientated work environment Opportunities for training and development Competitive salary, laptop & phone The main responsibilities of this position are working on live, hybrid & virtual events with clients to get their AV equipment set up and running, packing equipment in and out, problem solving and trouble shooting to help with all AV requirements. To do this, you will need to bring: A 'can do' attitude (and not take yourself too seriously) An enthusiasm for technology and a hunger to learn Not afraid of physical work Excellent people skills with a focus on delivering amazing customer service Self motivation and an ability to work autonomously as well as part of a team Nerves of steel so you can remain calm, problem solve quickly and provide a voice of re-assurance during technical hiccups in events You’ll also need to be willing to work weekends and evenings and have a full clean drivers license.
