This is a full-time, permanent position. 40 hours per week. The pay rate for this position is between $35.00 - $38.00 per hour, depending on the applicant's relevant skills and professional background. Located: Henderson, Auckland. Minimum Requirements: Sound knowledge of New Zealand health and safety regulations. Excellent communication skills to coordinate with leadership and external vendors. Clear NZ Police vetting check (mandatory). Essential Qualifications and Experience A relevant qualification (such as a Diploma in Facilities Management, Construction, or Property Management) OR minimum 2.5 years of verifiable experience in property or facility management. Experience supervising contractors. Practical experience undertaking general building maintenance. Demonstrated ability to safely operate maintenance machinery and power tools. Experience maintaining compliance documentation and property records. Strong organisational and planning skills. Ability to prioritise competing workloads. Ability to work independently. Current full driver's licence. Equivalent practical experience may be accepted in place of formal qualifications where appropriate. Desirable Qualifications First Aid Certificate. Site Safe Passport. Health and Safety Representative training. Experience working within a school or educational environment. Knowledge of Ministry of Education property requirements. Physical Requirements The successful applicant must be able to: undertake manual handling safely. Work indoors and outdoors in varying weather conditions. Climb ladders and access roof spaces where authorised. Safely operate machinery and maintenance equipment.
