The Role You'll be responsible for managing a portfolio of established clients across business advisory and compliance while also providing leadership and guidance to a small team. This is not a purely managerial role, it's suited to someone who still enjoys technical accounting work and building strong client relationships, while also wanting the opportunity to mentor others and influence team performance. Key Responsibilities Manage a portfolio of business advisory and compliance clients across a range of industries Prepare and review financial statements, tax returns, and other compliance work Provide practical business advisory support and build trusted client relationships Lead, mentor, and support junior team members in their day-to-day development Review workflow and assist with delegation and prioritisation across the team Work closely with Directors on complex client matters and strategic planning Support a collaborative and flexible team culture with a strong focus on work-life balance About You CA qualified (or equivalent) Strong public practice accounting background Experience managing client relationships end-to-end Comfortable reviewing work and mentoring junior staff Confident working autonomously within a flexible environment Looking for a long-term role with balance, trust, and genuine flexibility What's On Offer Genuine senior-level flexibility Hybrid working including work from home flexibility High level of autonomy across client management and workflow oversight Support from a CA-qualified onshore accountant plus offshore assistance for routine compliance tasks A balanced role split of approximately: 60-70% hands-on client work 30-40% leadership, mentoring, and workflow management Modern systems and quality advisory-focused work A collaborative, down-to-earth environment with a strong work-life balance focus.
