About Our Client Our client is a global manufacturing company with a strong international footprint and an established production facility in Thailand. They are seeking an Assistant Export Manager to lead end-to-end export operations and support their continued growth in international markets. The Role Reporting into the Supply Chain / Logistics function, the Assistant Export Manager will be responsible for driving efficient, cost-effective export operations while ensuring service excellence for international customers. Key objectives of this role: Facilitate efficient export operations end-to-end, delivering service excellence and cost effectiveness Provide competitive advantage through DIFOT (Delivered-In-Full On-Time) performance, service lead time, cost efficiency, and effective supply chain logistics Manage brokers and freight forwarding agents to ensure efficient, cost-effective, and compliant logistics vendor management with zero incidents in export transportation Drive and oversee safety standards in transportation and cargo loading operations, ensuring compliance with corporate safety regulations Lead and develop team members to achieve high-performance standards and strong engagement Key Responsibilities Operations & Documentation Manage documentation review, compliance due diligence, and coordination for new product launches and new client onboarding Prepare Form D and other essential international trade documents Coordinate closely with the Warehouse team on diverse and specific loading requirements per customer Work collaboratively with Customer Service to oversee complex order processing Liaise and negotiate with Freight Forwarders and Shipping Lines Performance Analytics Analyze DIFOT metrics, conduct root cause analysis, and lead export process improvement initiatives Requirements Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration, Logistics & Supply Chain Management, International Trade, or a related field Minimum 5-7 years of experience in export management and international logistics, including at least 2 years in a supervisory or team lead role Advanced proficiency in HS Code classification for regulatory compliance and tax/tariff optimization Strong expertise in container and equipment management, including CBM calculations and cargo loading/stowage planning across multiple client profiles Hands-on experience with import duty refund processes and related tax privileges Ability to calculate logistics costs accurately and develop competitive export pricing and quotations Strong leadership, problem-solving, and negotiation skills, with the ability to perform under pressure Proficient in English communication (written and spoken); additional languages are a plus
