Music Teacher

Key Responsibilities: Deliver daily Music lessons for primary and/or secondary students (including music theory, appreciation, singing, instrumental performance, composition, etc.); Design and lead diverse music programs, integrating international curricula or local music frameworks; Organize and direct school and external music activities, including choir, orchestra, band, musical productions, concerts, and inter-school competitions (priority given to choir, strings, wind, percussion, and popular music); Assist with music-related co-curricular activities, annual performances, arts festivals, and cross-disciplinary projects; Collaborate with class teachers, parents, and the Arts Department to support students’ artistic development and emotional well-being. Requirements: Hold a recognized bachelor’s degree or above, majoring in Music, Music Education, or related disciplines (e.g., Music / Music Education / Performing Arts); Possess Hong Kong–recognized teacher training qualifications (PGDE major in Music / BEd in Music or equivalent); Hold teacher qualifications recognized by the Hong Kong Education Bureau (Registered Teacher) or be eligible to apply for registration as a Registered/Permitted Teacher; Fluent in English (primary medium of instruction), with good proficiency in Cantonese and Mandarin preferred; At least 2–3 years of experience in school music teaching or choir/orchestra directing (experience in international or private schools preferred); Experience in leading students in music competitions, concerts, or musical productions is an advantage; Passionate about interacting with students, with strong classroom management, creative teaching, and communication skills; Possession of a valid First Aid certificate is an advantage; Must undergo a Sexual Conviction Record Check.
