Kōrero mō te tūranga – About the role Reporting to the Finance Manager, you will be responsible for supporting the day-to-day financial operations across several entities within the wider Ngati Porou Group. You'll work closely with an experienced finance team and gain broad exposure to: Accounts payable and receivable Bank reconciliations and transaction processing Payroll support and reporting Month-end accounting and management reporting Budgeting and forecasting support GST and FBT compliance Group consolidations and statutory reporting Audit preparation and external reporting Financial systems and process improvement initiatives This is a permanent, full-time position based in our Gisborne office. Ngā pūkenga me ngā wheako – Essential Skills & Experience To be successful in this role, you'll have: A completed or near-completed degree in Accounting, Finance, Commerce or a related discipline Strong attention to detail and excellent organisational skills Sound analytical and problem-solving abilities Intermediate Microsoft Excel skills A proactive and collaborative approach High levels of integrity and professionalism Excellent written and verbal communication skills Experience in a finance or accounting environment will be advantageous, but we are also interested in motivated graduates who are eager to develop their careers.
