The Hong Kong Monetary Authority (HKMA) is charged with the responsibility for maintaining the stability and integrity of the monetary and financial systems of Hong Kong. It carries out the operation and business development activities of the Central Moneymarkets Unit (CMU) on behalf of the HKMA. We now invite eligible candidates to join our dynamic and inclusive company for the exciting opportunity below: Senior Associate (Digital Asset Platform) Key Responsibilities Participate in the development, programming, testing and deployment of the Digital Asset Platform to support the entire life cycle of debt securities on blockchains. Audit, optimise, and document smart contracts to ensure security, gas efficiency, and maintainability, Participate in code reviews, security assessments, and the troubleshooting of blockchain-related issues, Maintain decentralized applications (dApps) and related backend services, Provide operational support including incident handling and the execution of disaster recovery drills. Keep abreast of blockchain trends, best practices, and emerging technologies Requirements University degree in computer science, information technology, engineering or a related field At least 3 years of relevant experience within a well-established financial organisation or leading financial institutions with hands-on experience in blockchain development and smart contract programming Good understanding of blockchain protocols and standards including consensus mechanisms, token standards (ERC-20), DeFi architectures, high-availability systems, and decentralized autonomous organization (DAO) infrastructures Solid knowledge of cryptographic principles, security best practices, and smart contract vulnerabilities Experience in deployment of solutions on public or private cloud platforms Proficient in using version control systems (Git) and agile development methodologies Proficiency in Solidity, Java, Go, or other blockchain-oriented programming languages Knowledge of SWIFT in Custody Services is considered an asset Self-driven and a good team player Good analytical, interpersonal and communication skills Candidates with supplementary experience and qualifications will also be considered, even if they do not meet all of the specified requirements above (Candidates with less experience may be considered for an offer of appointment at Associate level.)
