Heavy equipment experience? We want to talk to you. If you're a Diesel Mechanic, Heavy Equipment Technician, Mechanical Fitter or Hydraulic Technician who enjoys diagnosing problems and getting equipment working again, this could be a very good move. We're looking for someone who can bring strong hydraulic and mechanical fault-finding skills into a technically diverse workshop environment. You'll be working on hydraulic systems and components across heavy equipment, with plenty of opportunity to get into the detail — diagnosing faults, stripping down components, identifying the problem and getting the equipment back into service. The work will include: Hydraulic fault-finding and diagnostics Pumps, motors, valves and cylinders Hydraulic and mechanical repairs Heavy equipment servicing and maintenance Component removal, strip-down and rebuild Reading hydraulic schematics Hydraulic hose and pipe work Mechanical fault-finding Some electrical fault-finding Testing and commissioning Workshop and field-based service work You'd suit this role if you're currently working as a: Heavy Diesel Mechanic Diesel Technician Hydraulic Technician Heavy Equipment Technician Mechanical Fitter Fitter & Turner Mobile Plant Technician We're particularly interested in people who have worked on excavators, loaders, cranes, earthmoving equipment, agricultural machinery or other hydraulically operated heavy equipment . You don't need to have spent your entire career as a hydraulic specialist. Strong mechanical fundamentals combined with genuine hydraulic diagnostic experience are what matter. What we're looking for Trade qualification in diesel, mechanical fitting or a related discipline Strong hands-on hydraulic experience Confident fault-finding and diagnostic ability Able to read and understand hydraulic schematics Experience with heavy equipment or mobile plant Good mechanical knowledge Comfortable working independently Full NZ driver's licence If you're the sort of technician who wants to find out why something has failed rather than simply replace the part , we'd like to hear from you.
