About the role We are seeking experienced and motivated Assistant Farm Managers for our commercial broiler farm in Somerton, NSW . This is a full time on site role reporting to the Poultry Farm Manager. Key responsibilities include: Working with the Farm Manager to support the day-to-day management of the farms. Assisting with leading and managing staff to enhance farm performance and cost effectiveness. Support management of maintenance programs for all plant equipment and infrastructure. Contribute to always maintaining a high level of farm presentation. Ensuring biosecurity, health and safety, environmental and animal welfare procedures and standards are always met and adhered to across the farms. This role will be responsible for the Farm Manager’s duties when they are on leave. Ideally the successful candidate will have: Previous supervisory/leadership experience in a process driven environment. Previous experience with cattle station is advantageous. Highly developed communication and people management skills. Proactive, organised, and committed to promoting a positive culture. Current driver’s license. Current first aid certificate desirable. Who we are Karinyah Poultry Farm is modern broiler farm located on the banks of the Peel River in the renowned New England region of NSW. The farm comprises eight sheds and produces approximately 2.3 million birds annually. Karinyah shares its location with Bective Station, a fully operational cattle property just 15 minutes from Tamworth, where you can experience the daily working of a dynamic cattle property, offering a rare glimpse into the Australian livestock industry.
