About the Role We are seeking an experienced and skilled welder/fabricator to join our team manufacturing and repairing Aluminium stockcrates. Key Responsibilities Accurately mark out and cut materials to drawing specifications or instructions within allocated timeframes Complete all necessary weld preparation as per design requirements Perform welding activities to AS/NZS standards, ensuring quality and compliance Operate fabrication machinery, power tools, and presses in accordance with training and competency assessments Safely operate cranes to lift and position loads, ensuring all lifting procedures and health & safety protocols are followed in accordance with training and competency assessments Carry out fabrication tasks as directed by the Branch Manager Adhere to project specifications and contribute to a clean, safe, and efficient working environment Support team coordination and contribute to a strong workshop culture focused on safety, quality, and delivery About You You’ll be an experienced welder/fabricator with hands-on experience in a workshop environment, a commitment to precision work, and a strong understanding of fabrication processes and safety standards. You’ll bring: At least three years experience in welding and fabrication Proven ability to interpret and follow engineering drawings and instructions accurately Competency in steel and aluminium MIG welding to industry standards, Tig experience a bonus Ability to operate workshop machinery, tools, and cranes safely and effectively Strong awareness of and commitment to health and safety Excellent interpersonal skills with a positive, team-focused attitude High level of personal integrity, professionalism, and attention to detail Flexibility to work extra hours as needed Organised, reliable, and committed to producing high-quality work
