We’re looking for a skilled Workshop Fabricator with a strong engineering and fabrication background to join a leading irrigation company known for supporting its people, looking after its staff and creating a great team environment. This is a hands-on workshop role for someone who enjoys fabrication, welding and seeing a job through from start to finish. You’ll be working from engineering drawings to manufacture, repair and assemble a range of engineering components and irrigation equipment. What you’ll be doing: Reading engineering and fabrication drawings and working accurately to specifications Welding and fabricating using MIG, TIG and ARC as required Cutting, drilling, grinding, pressing and general workshop fabrication across steel, aluminium, RHS, pipe, angle and plate Operating general workshop machinery including bandsaws, drill presses, grinders, welders and lathes Checking your own work and taking pride in getting it right the first time Working as part of a team while also being confident working independently What we’re looking for: Strong welding and fabrication skills with good mechanical aptitude Experience reading engineering drawings and working accurately from plans A high standard of workmanship and attention to detail Someone who is self-motivated, reliable and sees what needs doing A good approach to health and safety and keeping a clean, organised workshop A trade qualification in Engineering or Fabrication would be an advantage, along with relevant workshop experience.
