Medicine Internship

We are seeking a highly motivated veterinarian to join our multidisciplinary North Ryde specialist hospital as a Medicine Intern. This 12-month internship is designed for veterinarians who are seeking a supportive, structured and clinically diverse environment to further develop their skills in referral-level practice and start their journey towards becoming an internal medicine specialist. For more information on SASH and the services we provide, please visit our website: www.sashvets.com About the role The successful intern will join the North Ryde Medicine team (11 specialists and 3 residents) and will contribute to the assessment and management of a varied and complex referral caseload. You will be actively involved in patient care, diagnostics, rounds and case discussions, with graduated responsibility appropriate to experience. This role provides: Daily exposure to complex internal medicine cases Close supervision and mentoring by specialist clinicians Opportunities for learning through rounds, journal clubs, and case-based teaching Strong collaboration with other specialist services including imaging, surgery, emergency & critical care, and oncology Support and training SASH places a strong emphasis on education, mentorship, and team support . Interns are closely supported by specialists and senior clinicians, with a focus on developing sound clinical reasoning, communication skills, and professional confidence. There can be opportunity to contribute to publications and conduct a brief research project for publication.
