Civil Labourer

About the role We are seeking Civil Labourer's to join the New Zealand Labour Hire team on a brand-new site in Glorit . This role is based North of Helensville, Auckland , and offers work opportunities within the civil construction and infrastructure sector. As a Civil Labourer, you will play a vital role in supporting the successful completion of civil engineering projects, contributing to the development and maintenance of essential infrastructure throughout the region. This is an ideal position for those seeking a new project that could potentially get them a full time position with the client. Key responsibilities Assist in the preparation and maintenance of the new civil site by installing silt fencing, prepping pavement, rolling cloth and using a tape measure. Support experienced tradespeople and supervisors in carrying out civil engineering tasks and projects Perform manual labour tasks including excavation, site clearance, material handling and ground preparation (Using a shovel) Assist with the installation and removal of temporary site infrastructure such as signage and safety barriers Help transport, load and unload materials and equipment at work sites Follow all site safety procedures, health and safety guidelines, and wear appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE) at all times Communicate effectively with supervisors and team members to ensure work is completed to schedule and specification Support the general upkeep and maintenance of the construction site environment What we're looking for Physical fitness and the ability to perform manual labour tasks in varying weather conditions A strong commitment to health and safety practices on site Willingness to learn and work under the direction of experienced supervisors and tradespeople Good teamwork and communication skills Reliability and punctuality Basic understanding of construction site practices and procedures, or willingness to receive induction and training Valid working rights in New Zealand Preferred: Previous experience in civil construction, site work, or manual labour roles What we offer New Zealand Labour Hire is committed to providing work opportunities that suit your lifestyle and circumstances.
