Allied Security is seeking an experienced Regional Operations Manager to lead operational performance across the Manawatu / Hawkes Bay region. This is a key leadership position focused on service delivery, people management, and compliance across one of New Zealand's largest and most respected security companies. About the Role As Regional Operations Manager, you'll lead a team of Operations Managers, ensuring consistent, high-quality service delivery to all clients across your region. Reporting to Senior Management, you'll take ownership of workforce performance, rostering and resourcing, recruitment, training compliance, policy enforcement, and internal auditing – driving continuous improvement across everything the team does. You must be able to step into any rostered shift or site operationally if required, and hold a full working knowledge of every site under your remit. This is not a customer-facing sales role; it's an operational delivery and people leadership position, with full accountability for HR compliance, Health & Safety, and employment standards across your region. This role covers the Manawatu and Hawkes Bay regions, and weekly travel between the two regions is essential . Key Responsibilities Operational Delivery & Management • Meet regularly with your Operations Managers to understand SOPs, challenges, and areas for improvement. • Allocate resources effectively to ensure client services are delivered daily to Allied Security's performance and quality standards. • Identify and implement improvements to client service delivery in agreement with your managers. • Ensure recruitment is planned ahead of need and resourcing remains efficient. • Ensure weekly timesheets and monthly invoicing match contractual and client requirements. People Leadership & Performance Management • Lead, coach, and mentor Operations Managers to achieve consistently high standards. • Oversee recruitment, onboarding, induction, and ongoing training in line with NZQA standards and industry best practice. • Monitor and manage individual and team performance, including formal disciplinary processes when required. • Maintain compliance with employment legislation (Employment Relations Act, Holidays Act) and Allied Security's internal HR policies. • Foster a culture of accountability, professionalism, and continuous improvement. Policy & Compliance • Ensure Allied Security and client SOPs are current, appropriate, and enforced across all operations. • Lead regular audits of employee documentation, site files, and operational processes. • Investigate breaches of company policy, escalating serious matters to Senior Management. Health & Safety Oversight • Ensure full compliance with Health & Safety legislation across all sites. • Coordinate regular site inspections and ensure incidents are investigated to best-practice standard. • Ensure Health & Safety documentation is complete, accurate, and accessible at all sites. Reporting & Documentation • Provide timely, accurate reporting to the GM and MD on operational, staffing, and compliance matters. • Ensure accurate internal reporting across staff performance, compliance, and contractual deliverables. What We're Looking For • Minimum 5+ years' experience in a similar role with management of direct reports, or relevant cross-over skills. • Proven leadership experience in operational management, HR compliance, and people leadership. • Experience managing performance, coaching managers, and supporting HR and disciplinary processes. • Solid understanding of New Zealand employment law and Health & Safety obligations. • Confident leading teams, managing competing priorities, and enforcing high standards. • Professional appearance, language, and demeanour, with strong interpersonal and communication skills. • Comfortable being available 24/7 as operational issues arise.
