ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS The Senior IT Executive will support infrastructure environments , including on-premises and Microsoft cloud services. This role focuses on coordinating infrastructure-related projects, liaising with end users and vendors, and ensuring timely delivery of services aligned with Group standards. The engineer will also assist in compliance reporting, and service performance tracking. RESPONSIBILITIES 1.Infrastructure Management · Manage, configure, monitor, and maintain all infrastructure components: network switches, firewalls, physical / virtual servers, storage systems, and related hardware / software. · Perform regular firmware / software updates, patches, and hardware upgrades while minimizing operational disruption. · Troubleshoot and resolve critical faults, performance bottlenecks, and compatibility issues, coordinate with vendors for hardware repairs or replacements when needed. · Maintain complete and up-to-date documentation of infrastructure topology, device configurations, access credentials and change logs. 2.Network & Security Operations · Oversee end-to-end enterprise network performance, including LAN/WAN/Wi-Fi connectivity, IP addressing, routing and access control policies. · Implement, monitor, and enforce network security measures: firewall rule management, intrusion detection / prevention systems (IDS / IPS), VPN access, and threat mitigation. · Conduct regular security audits, vulnerability scans, and compliance checks; remediate identified risks in line with company policies and industry standards. · Manage user access rights, permissions, and authentication protocols (including MFA) to protect corporate data and systems from unauthorized access. 3.Daily IT Operations & Support · Provide Level 2/3 technical support for all IT infrastructure and network-related incidents; resolve complex issues escalated by junior IT staff or other departments. · Oversee daily system health checks, backup verification, and disaster recovery testing to ensure business continuity. · Plan and execute scheduled maintenance, system migrations, and infrastructure changes following formal change management procedures. 4.Strategic Planning & Continuous improvement · Recommend and implement infrastructure upgrades, cost-optimization initiatives, and new technologies to enhance reliability, scalability, and security. · Monitor capacity usage of servers, network bandwidth, and storage; forecast future requirements and prepare budget proposals. · Develop standard operating procedures (SOPs), knowledge bases, and training materials for IT operations and end-user guidance. · Stayed updated on emerging IT trends, security threats, and best practices relevant to infrastructure and network management. RESPONSIBILITIES Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Computer Engineering, or a related field. Min. 5 year of IT infrastructure support role in manufacturing industry. Good interpersonal and able to manage users of different levels. Good communication skills in English & Malay (written and spoken). Good analytical and problem-solving skills.
