About Eber Eber is a SaaS loyalty and customer engagement platform trusted by 400+ brands across retail, F&B, and e-commerce — from large multi-outlet businesses to Shopify-only merchants. We're a lean, fast-moving team of 30+ across Singapore, Kuala Lumpur, Hong Kong, and Vietnam, and we're in the middle of an exciting AI-driven transformation of how we build and support our product. The Role: Solutions Engineer We're looking for a Solutions Engineer to join our tech team and help bridge the gap between customer needs and product delivery. You'll take ownership of features end-to-end — from gathering requirements to building working prototypes, testing releases, and supporting go-live — while also being a hands-on technical point of contact for customers and partners during key implementations. This is a great fit for someone who's spent time in software implementation or technical support, is comfortable picking up code to build things, and enjoys working directly with customers to solve real problems. What You'll Do Own the product lifecycle for your features: turn customer and internal requests into clear requirements, build a working prototype or lightweight MVP, test it end-to-end, and keep documentation current as it ships. Support key project implementations: work directly with customers (online or in person) on the technical side of rollouts, partnering with our customer success team to plan and execute go-live. Coordinate partner integrations: talk to external partners integrating with our platform, help decide the right integration approach, support UAT, and drive the rollout of their first real usage. Collaborate closely with engineering: hand off tested prototypes and clear requirements to our development team, and help triage and troubleshoot issues raised by customers. What We're Looking For 2+ years of experience in software development, technical support, and a similar customer-facing technical role (POS systems, SaaS platforms, or similar experience is a strong plus). Comfortable reading and writing code — you don't need to be a full-time developer, but you should be able to build a simple working prototype or script. Strong communication skills — confident explaining technical concepts to non-technical customers and translating customer needs into clear requirements for engineers. A structured, detail-oriented approach to testing and documentation. Comfortable working with a remote/distributed engineering team. Nice to Have Experience with REST APIs, webhooks, or integration work. Familiarity with tools like Jira, Google Apps Script, or similar workflow/automation tools. Experience using AI tools (e.g. ChatGPT, Claude) to speed up coding or documentation work. Background supporting retail, F&B, or e-commerce customers. If you just finished reading one job ad and felt paralyzed by choice, you're not alone—but this scale is actually an advantage. It means you can afford to be selective.
Start by geography and language. The majority of engineer ads—117,837 of them—have the job posting text written in English. Use that as one filter, but remember: the ad text language tells you nothing about whether the role actually requires you to speak English day-to-day. Read the job description carefully.
