Key Responsibilities International Market Development Manage assigned international territories across various country groups based on the company’s market allocation. Identify potential importers, distributors, retailers, and food-service partners through market research, trade databases, exhibitions, and business referrals. Evaluate market potential, competitor pricing, consumer preferences, distribution channels, and entry requirements before proposing market development plans. Prepare annual sales plans, customer pipelines, and market expansion priorities for assigned territories. Distributor and Key Account Management Manage commercial relationships with overseas distributors, including sales targets, product listings, promotional plans, inventory levels, and payment status. Conduct regular business reviews covering sales performance, market feedback, stock movement, forecasts, and corrective actions. Respond to customer enquiries, prepare product presentations, quotations, samples, and commercial proposals. Coordinate online meetings and overseas customer visits in English; use Chinese where applicable. Pricing and Commercial Negotiation Prepare export quotations based on product cost, freight assumptions, Incoterms, payment terms, minimum order quantities, and market conditions. Negotiate pricing, annual targets, promotional support, exclusivity conditions, and distribution agreements within approved authority. Monitor gross margin, promotional spending, overdue payments, and profitability by customer and market. Maintain customer price lists, commercial agreements, and approval records accurately. Sales Forecasting and Order Coordination Prepare rolling sales forecasts and coordinate demand with production planning, supply chain, customer service, and logistics teams. Follow customer purchase orders, production readiness, shipment schedules, payment terms, and delivery status. Coordinate export documentation requirements, including commercial invoices, packing lists, certificates of origin, and shipping documents. Resolve order delays, product shortages, documentation issues, and customer claims with relevant departments. Market Entry and Product Compliance Coordinate with R&D, Regulatory Affairs, QA, and Marketing on product registration, ingredient requirements, nutrition information, and destination-market labels. Verify packaging format, language, shelf-life requirements, and supporting certificates before commercial shipment. Collect market feedback on products, packaging, pricing, and consumer demand for product improvement or new product development. Represent the company at international trade exhibitions, distributor meetings, and business-matching activities when assigned. Qualifications and Skills Education: Bachelor’s degree or higher in International Business, Marketing, Business Administration, Economics, or a related field. Experience: Approximately 2–5 years in export sales, international business, overseas account management, or FMCG sales. Experience in food, seasoning, beverage, or consumer products is preferred. Strong command of business English for email communication, presentations, negotiations, and customer meetings is required. Chinese or Mandarin communication skills will receive special consideration. Ability to analyze sales, margins, forecasts, and market information using Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint. Experience with ERP systems, CRM systems, or international trade databases is an advantage. Able to travel domestically and internationally when required.
