We are seeking a qualified, caring and motivated person to join our amazing team at Hunter Dog Centre as a casual Kennel Attendant. You will work in a supportive team to provide the very best care for our clients who visit for doggy daycare, boarding and grooming. MAIN DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES: Ensure the highest standard of welfare of dogs including health checks, administering medication, feeding, exercising, and enrichment Provide basic grooming including bathing, drying, and cutting nails Dog transport (daycare collections, vet appointments etc.) Ensure HDC is clean, safe, and functional including routine maintenance (cleaning, mowing etc.) and reporting of damage to equipment and facilities Ensure only positive reinforcement techniques are applied with dogs Ensure an excellent customer service experience for clients Ensure safe and efficient daily operation of Hunter Dog Centre (HDC) in accordance with industry standards and HDC policies Monitor stock (food, cleaning, First Aid kit, equipment etc.) to ensure operational needs are met Contribute to and maintain a positive team environment Maintain a safe working environment including reporting incidents / concerns / system improvements to management Keep up to date with and contribute to development of policies and procedures to ensure best practice care of dogs Administration tasks including maintaining care records, bookings, and customer accounts SKILLS & EXPERIENCE Qualifications: Minimum Cert III in Animal Studies or equivalent (essential requirement) Class C Drivers Licence Desired Experience: Working in boarding kennel or other comparable animal care facility Skills: Committed to the highest standard of animal care and welfare Animal handling incorporating positive reinforcement techniques Ability to work as part of a team and indepentantly Good verbal and written communication Excellent time management and task prioritisation Understanding of and commitment to work health and safety Computer literacy Please note the business operates 365 days per year with rosters covering weekends and public holidays.
