Our integrated operations cover importation, sourcing, procurement, inventory management, cold storage, warehousing, transportation, delivery, marketing, and customer service. As the business continues to expand, we are seeking a commercially driven professional to lead the growth and development of the Meat category. Role Mission Lead a small team to drive sales growth and profitability of the Meat category. Develop customer and supplier relationships while ensuring effective procurement, pricing, and product availability. Coordinate category operations and cross-functional execution to support reliable supply and business growth. Role Summary Take overall commercial ownership of the Meat category, with a primary focus on driving sales growth, revenue, market share, and profitability. Develop new business opportunities and strengthen relationships with key customers across Hong Kong’s food service and retail sectors. Lead pricing, product development, and commercial strategies to maximize category performance. Oversee procurement, supplier management, demand forecasting, and inventory planning as supporting responsibilities. Ensure reliable supply, competitive pricing, product availability, and effective operational execution. Act as the key category expert and main point of coordination for the Meat business. Report to the General Manager. Key Responsibilities Lead, coach, and motivate a small team to achieve sales, commercial, and operational objectives. Develop and execute sales and business growth strategies for the Meat category. Achieve agreed sales, margin, revenue, and profitability targets. Identify and pursue new business opportunities across restaurants, hotels, caterers, private clubs, retailers, and other food service customers. Build, maintain, and strengthen relationships with key customers and business partners. Lead customer meetings, tenders, quotations, contract negotiations, and contract renewals. Work closely with the Sales team to identify upselling, cross-selling, account development, and market expansion opportunities. Monitor market trends, competitor activities, customer demand, and category performance. Identify new product opportunities and recommend product launches based on customer and market needs. Develop and implement pricing strategies to maintain market competitiveness and protect profitability. Monitor supplier costs, market pricing, exchange-rate movements, and other cost factors. Review and recommend selling price adjustments in response to changes in market and cost conditions. Manage supplier relationships, sourcing activities, price negotiations, payment terms, and other commercial arrangements. Identify alternative suppliers and sourcing opportunities to improve supply security, product range, and cost competitiveness. Monitor supplier performance, product quality, delivery reliability, and service levels. Oversee demand forecasting and procurement planning in line with sales targets and customer requirements. Ensure appropriate stock levels to support business growth while controlling inventory risk. Ensure smooth execution of customer orders, product availability, delivery requirements, and operational arrangements. Manage category budgets, forecasts, business plans, and performance reviews. Identify, manage, and escalate commercial, operational, product quality, and supply chain risks. Act as the Meat category expert and provide market, product, supplier, and commercial insights to internal stakeholders. Ideal Candidate Extensive experience in meat importation, food distribution, food trading, or category management. Proven track record in driving sales growth and managing commercial performance within the Meat category. Strong knowledge of meat products, suppliers, sourcing markets, and industry practices. Solid experience in sales development, key account management, pricing, procurement, forecasting, and inventory control. Strong supplier negotiation and commercial management skills. Strong customer relationship management and business development capabilities. Good understanding of Hong Kong’s food service, hospitality, and retail markets. An existing customer network within Hong Kong’s food service sector is highly preferred. An established network of meat suppliers and industry contacts is advantageous. Strong communication, influencing, negotiation, leadership, and stakeholder management skills. Professional, commercially driven, results-oriented, and able to work effectively across functions.
