Scaffolder

Full Time/ Permanent Christchurch, Canterbury “We have five scaffolder positions available.” Working hours from 7:30am to 4:00 pm Monday to Friday. Guaranteed with a minimum 30 hours per week. However, you may be required to work on evenings and weekends if the job demands it. Minimum $30 - $45 per hour Rates of Pay are based on Experience and Qualifications. Scaffolder Qualifications Experience in Scaffolding industry for at least 3 years. Trade Certificate of Competence (CoC) or Restricted CoC or equivalent overseas qualifications Site Safe Certificate Skills and attitudes Calculate loads and forces Unloading scaffolding equipment on-site Ensuring a stable base for scaffolding Erecting scaffolding poles Fixing scaffolding to buildings or structures Laying planks for workers to walk on Fixing guard rails and safety netting Dismantling scaffolding when a project is complete Creating different kinds of platforms, from simple scaffolding through to complex structures such as suspended scaffolding, cantilever drops and temporary roofs Good communication skills Organized, practical and safety-conscious Able to work well in a team Reliable and punctual with a positive attitude Experience Building or other construction work Jobs involving physical labour and team work Physical requirements Good balance and hand-eye coordination with reasonable agility Comfortable working at heights Fit and strong being able to carry scaffolding equipment weighing over 20kg Candidates must be NZ Citizen, NZ Residents or based in New Zealand with eligible working visa Send your CV to info@orionscaffolding.co.nz
