EXCAVATOR OPERATOR – TELECOMMUNICATIONS CIVIL WORKS Dawn Tech | Regional Western Australia 12 Days On / 4 Days Off | Ongoing Work About the role Dawn Tech is seeking an experienced Excavator Operator to join our telecommunications civil construction team on projects across regional Western Australia. This position involves excavation and trenching for telecommunications infrastructure, along with general site-support duties when required. The successful applicant will be safety-focused, reliable and comfortable working away from home on a 12-days-on, 4-days-off roster. Note- Sometimes roster vary, depending on client requirements. Key responsibilities Operate excavators safely and efficiently Complete trenching and excavation for telecommunications infrastructure Work safely around existing underground services Conduct daily pre-start checks and report equipment issues Follow site plans, Safe Work Method Statements and project requirements Maintain safe and tidy work areas Assist with general civil and site-support duties when required Work cooperatively with supervisors and other team members Essential requirements Demonstrated experience operating excavators Current White Card Current Excavator Operator ticket or valid Verification of Competency (VOC) Strong understanding of workplace health and safety requirements Ability to work a 12-days-on, 4-days-off roster Willingness to travel and work across regional Western Australia Reliable, punctual and able to work effectively within a team Highly regarded Previous NBN or telecommunications trenching experience Current HR driver’s licence Experience working around underground utilities and existing services Experience supporting telecommunications civil construction crews What we offer Ongoing work across various regional WA projects 12-days-on, 4-days-off roster Quality accommodation provided while working away Generous food allowance while working away Travel to and from the project site provided Safety-focused and supportive working environment Opportunity to join a reliable and growing telecommunications team About Dawn Tech Dawn Tech delivers telecommunications civil and infrastructure services throughout Western Australia.
