Carlingford-West Epping Uniting Church is looking for a warm, enthusiastic and community-minded person to join our team as a Community Engagement Coordinator (12 hours per week). This is a wonderful opportunity for someone who enjoys building relationships, working alongside volunteers and helping people of all ages feel welcomed, connected and valued. Based in Carlingford, this flexible part-time role focuses on supporting and strengthening our existing community ministries while helping us explore new ways to engage with our local neighbourhood. About us At Carlingford-West Epping Uniting Church, we seek to be a welcoming, Christ-centred community that nurtures faith, builds relationships and serves our local neighbourhood with compassion. We believe churches can be places where people experience belonging, friendship and hope. This role is an opportunity to help create those experiences through practical ministry and community engagement. About the role Working alongside staff and a dedicated team of volunteers, you will: Support the coordination of existing ministries including mainly music, Friends Club and other community programs. Assist with developing and introducing new community initiatives. Help prepare, set up and pack down activities. Encourage and support volunteers. Build genuine relationships with participants and create welcoming, inclusive environments where people feel they belong. About you You'll be someone who enjoys working with people and has a genuine heart for community. Ideally you will have: experience in community work, children's programs or similar settings excellent interpersonal and communication skills the ability to work collaboratively with volunteers a willingness to embrace the ethos and ministry of the Uniting Church sound Microsoft Office 365 skills. Mandarin and English language skills would be highly regarded. A current Working With Children Check and National Criminal History Check are required (or the ability to obtain them). A current First Aid Certificate and driver's licence would also be advantageous. Why join us?
