VCE English Tutors | Multiple Opportunities

Austin Education is looking for capable and engaging VCE English tutors and teachers to join our growing VCE English team. We welcome applicants with strong English, writing and communication skills, excellent subject knowledge and a genuine interest in helping students achieve their best. Previous VCE English teaching or tutoring experience is highly regarded, and we also consider each application based on overall ability, academic achievement, communication skills and teaching potential. Established in 2013, Austin Education has grown to a team of more than 40 full-time employees and over 300 part-time and casual teaching and support professionals across multiple campuses. Multiple casual opportunities are available, with longer-term and full-time career opportunities for high-performing teachers. Commencement dates can be discussed. About the role In this role, you will: Deliver engaging and well-structured VCE English lessons Develop students’ analytical reading, writing and communication skills Support students in preparing for SACs and VCE examinations and improving their academic performance Provide clear, detailed and constructive feedback on student work Teach with established curriculum and teaching resources, supported by our academic team Teaching is generally scheduled after school on weekdays and on weekends across our Melbourne campuses. What we are looking for We are looking for teachers who: Have excellent English, writing and communication skills Demonstrate strong knowledge of VCE English Can explain complex ideas clearly and engage senior secondary students effectively Are reliable, organised and professional Highly regarded: Strong academic achievement in VCE English Previous VCE English teaching or tutoring experience Experience preparing students for SACs and VCE examinations Experience or achievement in writing, debating or public speaking School leadership or academic competition experience Why join Austin Education?
