Responsible for supporting R&D tasks on a laboratory scale to commercial scale. Paperwork and research support, understand in food science, quality, and food safety to ensure all the tasks are created properly. Specific tasks include: Prepare formulations and product prototypes according to R&D instructions and approved formulations. Support laboratory, pilot-scale, and production trials for new product development, product optimization, and process validation. Prepare, weigh, and organize raw materials, ingredients, packaging materials, and laboratory equipment required for product development activities. Support application testing and product evaluations for new ingredients, technologies, and innovation concepts initiated by other R&D teams or cross-functional innovation projects. Assist in preparing application samples, conducting trials, collecting technical data, and documenting test results to support feasibility studies and innovation development. Perform incoming and pre-shipment inspection of raw materials and ingredients to verify compliance with approved specifications, quality standards, labeling, packaging integrity, and supporting documentation before release for shipment or use. Coordinate with Quality Assurance (QA), Procurement, Sourcing, and Logistics to resolve any quality or specification deviations identified during ingredient inspection. Conduct routine physical, sensory, and basic quality evaluations of raw materials, intermediate products, and finished product samples. Maintain accurate experimental records, laboratory notebooks, and technical documentation in accordance with Good Documentation Practices (GDP). Maintain cleanliness, housekeeping, and organization of the R&D laboratory, preparation areas, storage areas, and workstations to ensure compliance with GMP, food safety, and laboratory safety requirements. Clean, inspect, and perform routine care of laboratory equipment and utensils before and after use, ensuring all equipment is maintained in good working condition and ready for subsequent testing. Monitor and manage ingredients, packaging material, and laboratory consumable inventories, including stock checking, proper storage, stock rotation (FIFO/FEFO where applicable), inventory reconciliation, and timely replenishment requests to prevent shortages or expired materials. Calibrates equipment and instruments. Coordinate the preparation, labeling, packing, and shipment of samples for internal evaluations, customer submissions, and external testing. Processes shipping/ receiving paperwork for sample shipments, including packing-labeling and delivery. Support stability studies, shelf-life evaluations, and routine product quality monitoring. Assist R&D Specialists in executing innovation projects, customer development projects, and continuous improvement initiatives. Support data collection, analysis, preparation of technical reports, and presentation materials for product development activities. Behavioral Competencies & Work Requirements Demonstrate strong attention to detail and accuracy in laboratory work, documentation, and sample preparation. Possess good organizational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritize multiple tasks and meet project deadlines. Show initiative, a positive attitude, and a willingness to learn new technologies, ingredients, and product development processes. Work independently with minimal supervision while contributing effectively as a team member. Demonstrates a positive attitude, strong team collaboration, and adaptability in response to shifting project priorities, customer requests, and evolving business needs. Education and skills Bachelor's Degree in Food Science, Food Technology, Food Engineering, Biotechnology, Chemistry, or related field. 1–2 years of experience in food manufacturing, laboratory, or R&D is preferred. Experience in FMCG or food manufacturing is an advantage. Proficient in Microsoft Office applications, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook. Strong Thai communication in both writing and speaking, require a work report in English and ability to communicate in English would be an advantage.
