Compliance & Regulatory Officer (Telco)

We are looking for someone who can oversee the regulatory compliance activities , policy development, risk assessments, regulatory reporting, and engagement with relevant authorities, including MCMC, KPDN, KPKT, and Bank Negara Malaysia (BNM) in Telecommunications Industry. 💼 What You’ll Do Assess the impact of new regulatory requirements on the company's operations and recommend appropriate actions. Monitor and stay updated on changes in laws, regulations, and industry standards issued by regulatory authorities such as MCMC, KPDN, KPKT, BNM, and other relevant agencies Develop, implement, and maintain compliance policies, procedures, internal controls, and compliance frameworks. Conduct compliance risk assessments to identify regulatory risks, vulnerabilities, and areas requiring improvement. Provide compliance training and awareness programs to employees on regulatory obligations and corporate governance requirements. Monitor ongoing compliance activities through audits, reviews, and internal assessments to ensure adherence to regulatory requirements. Prepare and submit regulatory reports, disclosures, and documentation required by relevant authorities. Investigate compliance issues, regulatory breaches, and non-compliance incidents, and implement corrective and preventive actions. Work closely with internal stakeholders to promote a strong compliance culture across the organization. Prepare compliance updates and reports for senior management and key stakeholders. 🧠 What We’re Looking For Bachelor's Degree in Risk Management, Law, Finance, Business Administration, or a related discipline. Have 5 years of experience in legal, compliance, risk management, governance, or audit functions; experience within a multinational environment is an advantage. Strong knowledge of regulatory frameworks and requirements governed by MCMC, KPDN, KPKT, and Bank Negara Malaysia (BNM). Proven experience in developing and implementing compliance programs, policies, and controls. Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and risk assessment skills. Strong communication, stakeholder management, and interpersonal skills. Ability to collaborate effectively across different levels of the organization and engage with regulatory authorities. Self-motivated, detail-oriented, adaptable, and capable of managing multiple priorities. Ability to work closely with and report to multiple senior stakeholders. Good command of written and spoken English and Bahasa Melayu.
