Position Summary The Senior Network Engineer is responsible for the design, implementation, operation, and continuous improvement of the site's network infrastructure. This role serves as the primary technical lead for network services, ensuring reliable, secure, and scalable connectivity while partnering with Corporate Infrastructure and Security teams, business stakeholders, and external service providers to support operational and strategic business objectives Core Responsibilities Network Infrastructure Management Design, implement, maintain, and support network infrastructure to ensure high levels of availability, performance, reliability, and security. Manage network technologies including routing, switching, wireless networking, telecommunications, and network segmentation. Monitor network performance, capacity, and availability, proactively identifying opportunities for optimization and service improvement. Maintain network documentation, standards, technical procedures, and operational records. Service Operations & Support Manage network-related incidents, service requests, and escalations in accordance with established service levels and operational procedures. Lead problem management activities, including root cause analysis and implementation of corrective and preventive actions. Serve as the technical escalation point for complex network issues and operational challenges. Change & Project Management Plan, assess, coordinate, and implement network infrastructure changes through established change management processes while minimizing business risk and service disruption. Lead network infrastructure projects, technology refresh initiatives, site expansions, and operational improvement programs. Coordinate project execution with business stakeholders, corporate teams, vendors, and service providers. Vendor, Security & Compliance Management Manage relationships with telecommunications providers, contractors, technology vendors, and support partners to ensure effective service delivery. Collaborate with Corporate Infrastructure and Security teams to implement enterprise standards, security controls, and network-related initiatives. Support audit, cybersecurity, compliance, risk management, and business continuity requirements. Technical Leadership Provide technical leadership, mentoring, and knowledge sharing to team members. Promote operational excellence, standardization, and continuous improvement initiatives. Contribute to infrastructure strategy, technology evaluation, and future capacity planning. Qualifications Education & Experience Bachelor's Degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Engineering, or a related discipline. Minimum 7 years of experience in Network Engineering, Infrastructure Operations, or a related technical field. Experience supporting enterprise network infrastructure within a manufacturing environment and collaborating with regional or global IT organizations. Proven experience in incident management, change management, project delivery, and vendor management. Technical Expertise Strong knowledge of enterprise networking technologies, including routing, switching, wireless networking, telecommunications, network monitoring, and security principles. Experience designing, implementing, and supporting highly available, resilient, and scalable network infrastructure. Familiarity with manufacturing and operational technology (OT) environments is highly desirable. Preferred Certifications CCNP, Aruba, Juniper, Fortinet, ITIL, or equivalent industry-recognized certifications.
