Retail Manager - Sportswear

About client: Our client is a premium functional athletic apparel manufacturer specializing in high-performance sportswear. Responsibilities: Oversee daily store practices to guarantee full alignment with organizational policies, service benchmarks, inventory controls, and loss prevention protocols. Formulate, refine, and roll out revised operational procedures, executing routine site evaluations to resolve performance gaps and boost overall store efficiency. Design and administer comprehensive learning programs covering onboarding, product expertise, retail sales techniques, and operational workflows across all staff levels. Conduct hands-on mentoring sessions for store leadership and frontline teams to elevate service delivery, sales performance, and day-to-day execution. Identify staff training needs through operational reviews and curate up-to-date educational toolkits, manuals, and instructional resources. Facilitate smooth rollouts for new store launches, technology updates, and operational changes by leading change-management training on-site. Drive talent retention and high-performance standards by delivering targeted feedback, career mapping, and active succession planning in tandem with HR. Serve as the primary operational link between Headquarters and retail branches, ensuring strategic alignment, corporate messaging, and business goals are seamlessly integrated. Cultivate an environment rooted in accountability, continuous skill development, and alignment with corporate values across the entire field network. Requirements At least 8 years of retail experience, ideally rooted in the premium, lifestyle, fashion, outdoor, or sportswear sectors. Deep understanding of daily retail mechanics, including the execution of SOP, compliance monitoring, and overall store performance evaluation. Demonstrated success in facilitating retail training, delivering hands-on coaching, and driving continuous staff development. Exceptional presentation and interpersonal skills designed to motivate, influence, and build strong relationships across all levels of the organization. A university degree is preferred, particularly in Retail Management, Business Administration, or a related corporate discipline. Fluency in both English and Cantonese is required, while Mandarin proficiency serves as a strong advantage.
