Customs Clearance Staff

About the role We are seeking an experienced Air & Sea Customs Clearance Staff member to join T.H.I. GROUP (BANGKOK) CO., LTD. in our Sathon, Bangkok office. This is a full-time position that plays a crucial role in our freight and cargo forwarding operations. You will be responsible for managing the customs clearance processes for both air and sea freight shipments, ensuring compliance with international trade regulations and facilitating smooth passage of goods through customs authorities. This position is essential to our operations, as it directly impacts the efficiency and reliability of our logistics services. Key responsibilities Preparing and submitting customs documentation for air and sea shipments, including bills of lading, commercial invoices, and packing lists Liaising with customs authorities and government agencies to ensure full compliance with import and export regulations Coordinating with shipping lines, airlines, and freight forwarders to obtain necessary shipping and cargo information Managing the classification and valuation of goods for customs purposes Processing customs declarations and securing customs clearance approvals Monitoring shipment status and providing updates to clients regarding clearance progress Identifying and resolving customs issues, discrepancies, and documentation errors Maintaining accurate records of all customs transactions and clearance activities Advising clients on customs regulations, duties, taxes, and compliance requirements Ensuring all shipments meet regulatory requirements and adhering to international trade laws What we're looking for Proven experience in customs clearance operations for air and/or sea freight, ideally within a freight forwarding or logistics company Strong knowledge of Thai customs regulations, international trade laws, and customs procedures Proficiency with customs documentation systems and freight management software Excellent understanding of import/export procedures and requirements Strong attention to detail with the ability to accurately prepare and review complex documentation Excellent communication skills in English and Thai, with the ability to liaise effectively with customs officials and clients Problem-solving abilities and capacity to handle multiple shipments simultaneously Professional certification or qualifications in customs clearance or freight forwarding (preferred) Experience with port operations and terminal procedures (advantageous) Ability to work independently whilst maintaining accuracy and meeting deadlines What we offer At T.H.I.
