VP Financial Control

Responsibilities: Oversee all accounting and financial operations to ensure efficiency, accuracy, and timeliness Ensure the preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in compliance with accounting standards and regulatory requirements (e.g., IFRS, insurance regulators) Prepare monthly financial reports, analyze business performance, and provide strategic insights and recommendations to management Collaborate with cross-functional teams on financial projections, budgeting processes, and other finance-related initiatives Develop, implement, and maintain accounting and financial policies, procedures, and internal controls Lead, manage, and develop the accounting and finance team to enhance performance and capability Support the CFO and senior management with ad hoc financial analysis, reports, and special projects Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree or higher in Accounting, Finance, or a related field Minimum of 10 years of experience in accounting and finance, with proven experience in a managerial or leadership role Prior experience in the life insurance or insurance industry is highly preferred Strong knowledge and hands-on experience with IFRS 17 (Insurance Contracts) Solid understanding of accounting standards (IFRS/TFRS), regulatory compliance, and internal control frameworks Strong analytical skills with the ability to translate financial data into strategic insights Excellent leadership, team management, communication, and stakeholder management skills Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple priorities effectively Preferred Qualifications: Professional certifications such as CPA, CFA, or equivalent Experience in IFRS 17 implementation projects Familiarity with ERP systems and financial reporting tools
