Job Description Responsible for providing strategic leadership, governance and overall direction for the Bank's compliance framework to ensure compliance with applicable laws, regulations and regulatory expectations. Advises Senior Management and the Board on emerging regulatory risks, and drives the effectiveness, sustainability and continuous enhancement of the Bank's compliance management framework. Lead the development and implementation of enterprise-wide compliance strategies, policies and regulatory governance. Provide strategic advisory to the Group Chief Compliance Officer, Senior Management and the Board on key compliance, governance and regulatory matters. Lead strategic engagement with regulators and oversee the management of significant regulatory findings and remediation programmes. Drive enterprise-wide compliance risk management and continuous enhancement of the Bank's compliance management framework. Champion a strong compliance culture and organisational capability across the Bank. Basic Qualifications Strong communication, presentation and report writing skills (especially in English) with the ability to engage and influence stakeholders at all levels, including Senior Management, the Board and external regulators. Possess a Bachelor's Degree in Finance, Accountancy, Law, Business Administration or any other related discipline. A Master's Degree or relevant professional qualification is an added advantage. Minimum ten (10) years of Compliance-related working experience with a total of fifteen (15) years of working experience in banking or related industry, preferably in Compliance, Risk Management, Audit, Finance, Legal or other related fields. Technical competencies Complete relevant professional qualifications to be qualified as Compliance Personnel as per requirement from Bank Negara Malaysia which could be the Advanced Certification in Regulatory Compliance (ACRC) or Certified Anti-Money Laundering & Counter Financing of Terrorism Compliance Officer (CAMCO). Keeping abreast of regulatory changes, new regulations, and internal policy changes from time to time. Effective negotiation skills for building strong relationships with the stakeholders and engaging teams.
