Assistant Manager, Parts Supply Planning (12-month Renewable Contract)

Position Overview We are seeking an analytical, data-driven, and highly numeric sensitive Assistant Manager for our Parts Supply Planning team. You will oversee end-to-end inventory management and demand forecasting to ensure optimal stock availability. This role bridges the gap between historical data and market reality by analyzing fluctuations, monitoring sales channels, and actively managing back orders to maximize order fulfillment. Responsibilities: Demand Forecasting & Analysis Generate baseline forecasts using advanced statistical methodologies. Analyze complex demand fluctuations to identify root causes. Adjust supply plans based on market promotions and seasonality. Sales Channel Monitoring Track daily sell-in and sell-out data across all distribution channels. Identify gaps between actual sales performance and forecasted demand. Collaborate with sales teams to align supply with market velocity. Product Lifecycle Management Prepare and guarantee parts stock readiness during new product launches. Manage the phase-out of old products to minimize obsolete inventory risk. Coordinate with product and engineering teams for smooth product transitions. Inventory & Back Order Control Manage back orders (BO) proactively to minimize customer wait times. Track BO aging data and expedite critical shipments with suppliers. Manage optimal inventory levels to prevent stockouts and overstock. Establish safety stock parameters for active, slow-moving, and obsolete parts. Data Analytics & Reporting Build, maintain, and update daily and weekly inventory reports. Process large datasets using advanced Excel formulas, specifically heavy VLOOKUPs. Extract and consolidate large volumes of supply chain data from corporate reporting systems. Requirements: Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Statistics, Data Analytics, or Business. 3 to 5 years of experience in parts planning or inventory control. High numeric sensitivity with an ability to spot anomalies in large numbers and data trends quickly. Hands-on experience extracting data and working with Business Warehouse (BI/BW) reports . Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel, specifically for handling large data files with complex VLOOKUPs. Experience managing product lifecycles, including new product introduction (NPI) and end-of-life (EOL) phases. Hands-on experience managing and resolving back orders (BO) in a fast-paced environment. Strong knowledge of statistical forecasting models and quantitative analysis. Strong analytical mindset with high attention to structural data detail.
