The Software Developer is responsible for designing, developing, and implementing new or modified software products and cloud-native solutions for ongoing business projects. Leveraging Google Cloud Platform (GCP) services, they collaborate closely with various teams and stakeholders—including Cloud Architects, Analysts, Project Managers, and other developers—to build scalable, resilient software projects that meet business requirements. This Software Developer role plays a critical part in the development, enhancement, and cloud modernization of software applications to support continuous business growth and operational efficiency within the organization. Job Descriptions Collaboration and Learning: Collaborate with cross-functional team members and Cloud Architects and actively seek opportunities to expand your knowledge in modern software engineering, modern cloud design patterns, and GCP services. Software Development & Cloud Engineering: Assist in researching, designing, writing, testing, and implementing high-performing code for software applications and cloud-hosted microservices. Follow coding standards and best practices under the guidance of senior developers, utilizing core GCP services (e.g., Compute Engine, Cloud Run, Cloud Functions, GKE, BigQuery and CloudSQL). CI/CD & Cloud Deployment: Support automated application build and deployment pipelines (e.g., GCP Cloud Build, GitHub Actions) to ensure reliable and efficient cloud application deployment across development, staging, and production environments. Documentation: Assist in the preparation and maintenance of technical and cloud infrastructure documentation, including design specifications, API contracts, and unit test documents. Testing, Monitoring & Quality Assurance: Participate in unit testing, integration testing, and bug remediation to ensure software meets quality standards. Assist with cloud application monitoring, logging, and performance tracking using GCP Cloud Monitoring and Logging tools. Innovation and Research: Stay updated on emerging software development technologies, cloud trends, and GCP managed services, actively seeking opportunities to optimize development processes, system scalability, and cloud resource efficiency. Cybersecurity & Security Compliance: All GT team members are responsible for upholding the organization's cybersecurity and cloud security posture. Adhere to organizational security policies, implement GCP Identity and Access Management (IAM) best practices, protect data in transit and at rest, actively identify and mitigate vulnerabilities, and promptly report any suspicious activity or potential security incidents.
