Based in our Albany office, you’ll join a small, friendly team while also being supported by the wider Catapult Partners team across our Auckland, Whangārei and Taupō offices. The Opportunity As a valued member of our Albany office, you’ll manage a varied portfolio of clients and take responsibility for delivering high-quality work and advice. You’ll: Build trusted, long-term relationships with clients Manage client work from commencement through to completion Prepare and review annual financial statements and income tax returns Prepare GST returns and assist clients with their ongoing tax obligations Work with companies, trusts, partnerships, individuals and other entities Provide practical accounting, tax and business advice Identify opportunities to improve clients’ systems and business outcomes Communicate directly with clients, Inland Revenue and other advisers Collaborate with colleagues across our three offices Make effective use of Xero, cloud-based systems and emerging technology About You You’re an experienced public-practice accountant who enjoys working with people as much as numbers. You’ll bring: Experience in a New Zealand public-practice accounting role Sound knowledge of New Zealand accounting and tax requirements The ability to confidently complete accounting assignments from start to finish Strong problem-solving and personal decision-making skills Excellent communication and client relationship skills The confidence to work independently within a supportive wider team Good organisational skills and the ability to manage competing priorities Experience using cloud-based accounting systems, with Xero experience advantageous A CA or CPA qualification, or progress towards one, preferred Most importantly, you’ll be approachable, dependable and genuinely interested in helping clients achieve better outcomes.
