Residential Quantity Surveyor (Junior)

We are looking for a highly motivated Junior level Quantity Surveyor to join our thriving QS team. You will be based at our Head Office in Papamoa and provide support to the Quantity Surveying team on day-to-day aspects of the quantity surveying function, including completing take offs, ordering materials, and setting budgets to enable a seamless workflow. This is a support role and an exciting opportunity to build a career in Quantity Surveying. Whether you've recently completed a QS qualification, are currently studying, are looking to get started in the industry, or are returning to the workforce, we'd love to hear from you. We can also offer flexibility with part-time hours for the right candidate. What you'll be doing Provide accurate material take offs for Venture Development projects Complete account set up of contracted jobs in the inhouse estimating software Create accurate purchase orders, complete and maintain the PO schedule and supplier & subcontractor details Actively support wider VD initiatives Work effectively with and alongside a range of external and internal stakeholders, building and maintaining effective relationships. Maintain and apply industry knowledge and remain current with industry developments. About you Have or be in the process of completing a QS qualification, or be interested in entering the industry Have a service driven and solution-oriented approach Be competent in MS Office Suite, with the ability to learn business systems Meticulous eye for detail and accuracy Solid communication skills, ability to prioritise, manage time well and multitask To have some knowledge of or experience in residential construction industry is desirable but not essential as you will be learning our systems, processes and methods.
