Fire Systems Testers & Surveyors

Location: Auckland Employment Type: Full-time, Permanent About the Role South Pacific Fire Protection is seeking skilled and experienced Fire Systems Testers and Surveyors - to join our Auckland-based team. These full-time roles are responsible for conducting fire system testing and/or fire system surveys, while supporting Building Warrant of Fitness (BWoF) compliance for our clients across the Northern Region. This role will suit technicians with experience in active fire systems, passive fire systems, or both, who take pride in quality inspections, accurate reporting, and professional client engagement. What You’ll Be Doing Carrying out thorough inspection, testing, and surveying of fire protection systems to ensure compliance with applicable legislation and New Zealand Standards Completing BWoF inspections and supporting certification for commercial and industrial buildings Preparing clear, detailed reports and maintaining accurate compliance and maintenance records Identifying defects and non-compliances and providing practical recommendations for improvement Liaising with clients to understand their fire safety requirements and explain technical findings in a professional manner Remaining up to date with changes in fire safety regulations, standards, and industry best practice What We’re Looking For Essential: Minimum 3 years’ experience in fire systems testing, surveying, or a similar role within the fire protection industry Strong technical knowledge of Active and/or Passive Fire systems , BWoF requirements, and relevant fire safety legislation Strong problem-solving and analytical skills with attention to detail Excellent communication skills and a customer-focused approach Competence in using fire system inspection and testing equipment Current NZ driver license and ability to travel throughout the Northern Region Desirable: Experience across both Active and Passive fire disciplines Current IQP registration Familiarity with digital compliance systems and reporting software What We Offer At South Pacific Fire Protection, we provide a supportive, collaborative, and professional working environment.
