Key Responsibilities 1. Regulatory Governance & Leadership (Strategic Focus) Act as the primary liaison with the Securities Commission Malaysia (SC), Bursa Malaysia, and other relevant authorities; lead regulatory examinations and inspections. Develop and evolve a comprehensive compliance framework that integrates Group-level standards with local CMSA 2007 and SC guidelines. Provide strategic advice to the Board of Directors and Senior Management on the regulatory implications of new business models, products, and market expansions. Promote a "Compliance-First" culture across the organization through continuous education and leadership by example. 2. Regulatory Compliance & Risk Oversight (Operational Focus) Oversee the implementation and effectiveness of policies regarding CMSA 2007, Market Abuse regulations, and Outsourcing frameworks. Monitor regulatory changes and proactively assess their impact on Nanhua Malaysia’s business strategy and operational workflows. Execute robust compliance monitoring programs, including thematic reviews and periodic testing of internal controls. 3. AML/CFT & Financial Crime Prevention Lead the AML/CFT/CPF (Counter Proliferation Financing) program, ensuring strict adherence to BNM/SC guidelines and FATF international standards. Supervise critical functions including Customer Due Diligence (CDD/KYC), Sanctions Screening, Transaction Monitoring, and the timely filing of Suspicious Transaction Reports (STR). 4. Operational Excellence & Audit Management Coordinate with internal/external auditors to ensure timely remediation of all audit findings and regulatory observations. Assess third-party risks related to outsourcing arrangements and vendor engagements. Facilitate seamless communication and alignment between the Malaysia entity and the Regional Headquarters (Group) to ensure consistency in compliance reporting. Requirements 1.Education: Bachelor’s Degree in Law, Finance, Accounting, or a related discipline from a recognized institution. 2.Experience:Minimum 5-8 years of experience in regulatory compliance within capital markets/securities, with significant leadership experience and a proven track record of interacting with regulators (SC/Bursa). 3.Regulatory Expertise: Deep subject matter expertise in the Capital Markets and Services Act 2007 (CMSA), SC Guidelines, and AML/CFT/CPF frameworks. Familiarity with Fit and Proper requirements is essential. 4.Professional Certification: Professional designations such as ACAMS, ICA, or CAMS are highly preferred. 5.Soft Skills: Exceptional analytical rigor, high ethical standards (integrity), and the ability to exercise independent judgment under pressure. 6.Language & Communication:Professional proficiency in English (written and spoken) is mandatory for regulatory reporting.Proficiency in Chinese is highly advantageous to facilitate seamless communication with the Group’s regional stakeholders and headquarters. This position belongs to the subsidiary of HGNH.
