Quality Assurance (Software Tester)

About the role We are seeking a skilled QA Engineer with 3-5+ years of experience in software testing. The ideal candidate will have strong analytical skills, a deep understand of testing methodologies, and experience working in Agile environments. You will be responsible for designing and implementing testing strategies, ensuring the quality of complex software systems, and collaborating with cross-functional teams. Key responsibilities Develop and execute test plans, test cases, and test scripts to ensure quality and functionality. Define and maintain testing processes, standards, and guidelines. Collaborate with product managers, developers, and stakeholders to translate business requirements into effective testing strategies. Perform thorough manual testing of web and API-based applications across various platforms and environments. Identify, document, and track bugs and ensure that development teams resolve them effectively. Conduct regression, functional, integration, and exploratory testing as needed. Work closely with cross-functional teams including development and product management to ensure high-quality software releases. Participate in daily stand-ups, sprint planning, and retrospectives within the Agile framework. Provide clear and concise reporting on testing progress, results, and quality metrics. Identify areas of process improvement and contribute to continuously enhancing the testing process. About you 3–5+ years of hands-on experience in software testing or quality assurance. Strong experience in manual testing and exposure to test automation are considered advantages. Proficient in testing APIs and cloud-based web applications. Strong experience in one or more programming/scripting languages. Strong experience in JIRA, Confluence. Strong experience in test management tool Xray test management for Jira or similar. Experience with defect tracking tools. Experience with root cause analysis. Familiarity with CI/CD tools and version control systems. Familiar with Agile/Scrum methodologies and experience in Agile-driven projects.
