We’re on the lookout for a reliable Sales & Service Coordinator to join our Mt Maunganui team! About the Role This is a varied, hands‑on role where you’ll support customers, sales activity, and day‑to‑day branch operations. You’ll help process customer orders, assist across the yard and store, and carry out general administrative and stockroom duties. The role includes some repetitive lifting of up to 25kgs, and you’ll be interacting with customers regularly, so confidence in providing great service is essential. As part of your development, you may have the opportunity to gain your forklift licence through supported training, allowing you to safely assist with loading and unloading across the branch. Standard hours are 40 per week, Monday to Friday, 7:30am–4:30pm, with some flexibility considered. Free onsite staff parking is available. Skills and Experience At Humes, the big focus is customer service — because when you’re driven to help others, you naturally go the extra mile, and that’s how we operate. While a background in either retail or distribution will be advantageous to this role, it will also be important you are you are able to demonstrate: Self-motivation and reliability. A passion for strong customer service Strong communication written and verbal Mathematical literacy Experience in systems such as Microsoft excel and Outlook Able to undertake some repetitive heavy lifting– up to 25kgs A willingness to be trained and learn new skills.
